Method to make Moong Dal Cheela (Step-by-Step)


 Step 1: Soaking the lentils
Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 3–4 hours.

 If you want to make it quickly, you can soak it in lukewarm water.

Step 2: Preparing the batter
Drain the water from the soaked lentils.
Grind the lentils in a mixer with green chillies, ginger and a little water.

 Keep in mind – the batter should neither be too thin nor too thick.

 Now add salt, cumin seeds, onion and coriander leaves to it.

Step 3: Making the Cheela on the Tawa
Heat the pan.
Apply a little oil.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread it in a circular shape.

When the bottom turns golden, flip it over.
